Initiatives is a research-based advisory firm. We design, organize and drive multi-stakeholder initiatives with public and private organizations.
To create real impact for businesses in society by helping organizations tackle challenges that are too massive for any one organization to address successfully.
We work with co-creation methodologies developed in collaboration with international thought leaders: Stanford University d.school, University of Technology Sydney and IDEO. We use strategic visualization as a tool to create clarity, communicate and engage stakeholders.
WHO WE ARE
REX DEGNEGAARD, PH.D.
CEO & CO-FOUNDER
Rex specializes in co-creation, strategic change management, and organization analysis & design. He is responsible for co-designing and driving strategic co-creation processes with our clients. Rex is deeply involved in developing co-creation apps for both private sector and private-public sector initiatives with a specific focus on security, health care, and sustainability.
Rex holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Change Management and has a strong background in organization development, organizational design, change management and leadership development from pharma and clean-tech industries as well as management consulting.
He is an active researcher in applied research. He is reviewer for Stanford University Press and for the international scientific journal 'Policing – an International Journal of Police Strategies & Management' and on the editorial board of Journal of Design, Business & Society.
Furthermore, Rex engages with society by contributing with advisory roles as innovation expert for the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation. He's also engaged in councils for Danish Design Association and expert panel for electronics and design. Further he teaches co-creation at Copenhagen Business School at MBA and executive programs.
STINE DEGNEGAARD, MA, PHD FELLOW
CO-FOUNDER & STRATEGIC PLANNER
Stine helps organizations and leaders develop and execute strategic initiatives using strategic visualization as a method for creating overview, clarity and commitment. Stine is responsible for co-designing and visualizing complex, multi-stakeholder challenges.
Stine is Ph.D. Fellow at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, working on her Ph.D. thesis on the role of strategic visualization in multi-stakeholder complex business challenges".
Furthermore, Stine is Global Ambassador and guest lecturer at Stanford d.School. Stine holds an MA in Aesthetics and Culture from Aarhus University.
Nanna FRANk, kaospilot
facilitator and process designer
Nanna is working with change through dialogue, participation and strategic visualisation (using the visual language to create clarity and commitment in projects and strategies). The visual language is essential in Nanna’s approach because it supports meaningful conversation and results that matters. She is both serving the role as process designer, facilitator, harvester and trainer.
The past eight years Nanna Frank has been working both in the public and the private sector helping companies and institutions to become learning organisation.
Nanna is educated from Kaospilot, a danish business school for leadership, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Furthermore Nanna is the author of the book “The Visual Teacher” (Den Visuelle Lærer, 2014)
ANNE MUNNECKE, MFA
Anne Munnecke holds an MFA from studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and Funen Art Academy in Denmark. Anne draws from her artist background focusing on color and tactility as important factors for INITIATIVES illustrations.
ANNA KIRSTINE BAY MULVAD, MA
Anna Kirstine Bay Mulvad holds a MA from The School of Design in Copenhagen from the Institute of Visual Design and Designschool ESAG Penninghen in Paris. Anna Kirstine’s approach to the illustrative tasks combines both technical, artistic and conceptual skills.
